Bringing a new puppy or rescue dog into your home is an exciting time, but it can also be challenging, especially during their puppy and adolescent years. Puppy preschool is an essential first step for all puppies, setting the foundation for good behaviour. During these early weeks, puppies are like sponges, quickly learning important skills like sit, drop, come, and name recognition. Our puppy pre-school program also focuses on socialisation, teaching your pup how to interact confidently with other dogs and people in a safe, friendly environment.

In addition to basic obedience training, we help you tackle common puppy issues like toilet training, biting, and chewing. Puppies between the ages of 8 to 14 weeks will benefit the most from this critical "imprinting" phase. Early training and proper socialisation are key to raising a well-adjusted adult dog.

For dogs who have graduated from puppy school or those over 5 months old, Canine College is the next step in their training journey. Whether your dog pulls on the lead, jumps up on guests, or ignores you when you call them at the park, Canine College will provide the tools to address these behaviours.

Our small class sizes (maximum 6 dogs) ensure that both you and your dog receive the individual attention you need. With two instructors present, we cover everything from basic manners like sit and stay to advanced skills like walking nicely on lead and coming when called. Plus, we make training fun with a mini-agility course where your dog can play and practice their new skills!

At Canine College, we focus on positive reinforcement and kindness, creating a supportive environment for both you and your dog. The course also covers important topics like stress signals, recognising problem behaviours, and managing issues like chewing, barking, and digging.
