Vet Passes U.S. Exam

In our last newsletter we introduced Shannon Rich, our newest vet; Shannon has recently passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam.

This test must be taken by both, American graduates and those from “foreign” veterinary schools. It was an eight-hour test and contained questions about dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, rabbits, birds and even lizards, snakes and fish.

The biggest difference between studying here in Australia and in the US is that the US has many more viral, fungal and bacterial diseases (like Rabies); but don’t feel bad about this, we have them beat on snakes and spiders.

Congratulations, Shannon
